Quality, access and reuse
Resource standards
How Mancunianity Flows keeps its growing learning collection accurate, inclusive, ethical and usable over time.
Performance, authorship and spoiler policy
The Mancunianity Flows promenade stories and performance script are written by Nakib Narat. Website story tasters and learning adaptations may be printed and used for personal, family and not-for-profit classroom learning with attribution.
The performance script, dramatic sequence, character material, musical structure, sound cues, audience interactions and live transitions may not be reproduced, adapted, performed or recorded without written permission.
Before the live programme, online story material is deliberately spoiler-light. Exact stopping points, strongest dramatic turns, comic payoffs, musical entrances and the finale remain exclusive to the promenade. After the public walks, selected stories may be expanded as sourced learning articles without publishing the full performance script.
Editorial and historical practice
- Established facts, interpretation and unanswered questions are labelled separately.
- Substantial historical claims are linked to sources or a source note.
- Corrections are welcomed and reviewed before publication.
- Pages show a review date when content is likely to change.
- Complex or contested histories are presented with care rather than simplified into a single triumphant story.
Accessibility
- Essential information is provided as webpage text rather than only inside images.
- Images have alternative text; audio and video will have transcripts or captions.
- Resources work without a login and are designed for phones, larger screens and printing.
- Alternative formats can be requested by email.
- Known limitations will be stated openly and reviewed.
Rights and permitted use
Learning text and activity prompts may be printed and used by families, schools and not-for-profit community groups with the credit “Mancunianity Flows, created and led by Nakib Narat”. This permission does not extend to third-party photographs, portraits, partner logos, archive material, participant stories or illustrations unless a separate rights statement says so.
Do not republish, modify or commercially reuse photographs of Aviva Studios, portraits, Weaver contributions or third-party material without permission from the relevant rights holder.
Participation, privacy and safeguarding
- No participant's name, photograph, voice or story is published solely because the person attended a workshop.
- Website, publicity, audio and archive uses require clear and separate choices.
- Children are not invited to submit personal details publicly.
- Public contributions are moderated before publication.
- People may ask about correction, removal or alternative formats through the project email.
Maintenance and preservation
- Links and high-risk factual content are reviewed regularly.
- Source files, image originals, permissions and dated backups are retained securely.
- Seasonal event information is archived rather than allowed to look current indefinitely.
- The collection will grow through approved Weaver stories, audio, transcripts and evaluated learning materials.
