Access to information and the website

Accessibility statement

Read the Mancunianity website accessibility approach, known limitations and ways to request information in another format.

Prepared: 7 September 2026

We are working to make this website conform as closely as practicable to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a target, not a claim that every applicable criterion has been independently audited.

What we have done

  • Semantic headings and landmarks
  • Keyboard-accessible links and navigation
  • Visible focus styles
  • High-contrast colours
  • Responsive reflow and text resizing
  • Skip-to-content link
  • Meaningful link text
  • No autoplay media
  • Text alternatives planned for route maps, audio and video

Known limitations

The final illustrated route map, downloadable documents, audio and video are not yet published. Each will require a separate accessibility review before release. The live site has not yet undergone an independent full WCAG audit.
